We are Spending the Summer at the Cabin

We have been at the Cabin for just a litle less than a month but it doesn't seem near that long. Doris and Joe have been here and we have been able to spend time with them. Mom loves to be with Doris. We have only been to Phoenix one time....down and back the same day, to be at the blessing of Claire Jeanne Cotter. Pam and Duane have visited us as have Ken and Sue and Blaine and his family. We had afternoon rains when we first got here but now it is HOT! 115 in Phoenix today, 110 in St George, but only....only did I say?, 94 in Payson. We know the monsoons will start any time now...hurry up! I haven't been painting much this summer. I have been doing maintenance on the cabin. I am trying to kill every pack rat in the forest. I think they all sit around and say to themselves, "hey..what is he going to bring us to eat today?"

Grandma Claire gets to hold her Great Grandaughter Claire Cotter.
Ken and Sue came up to spend the 4th of July weekend. We spent Saturday in Pine...They have an awesome craft show there very year, Sue did the cooking on the grill, and the fireworks that night were absolutely the best I have ever seen........ and that includes the 4th of July fireworks at the Worlds fair in New Orleans. It was a fantastic weekend.

These may be the only photos of Ken or Sue in existence...gotta be sneakey to get a pic of either of them.

Kaela and her friend are typical 15 year olds....where in Payson do the boys hang???

Fathers Day
Grandma Claire loves to have her great grandchildren visit and on Fathers Day Blaine and his family came to dinner at the cabin. How can it not be enjoyable to have kids like this around?
Grandma and I had one of our best days since we have been here.

Whitney is always a delight

Jaylee and Ethan always brighten up our day

Brecken came to visit us
Such a happy guy but not a lot of fun to carry around. Of course he brought his Mom with him.
