The Cabin in July

Grandma and I spent almost 6 weeks at the Cabin during July and the first part of August. It was delightful. The rain came in almost afternoon
and we could sit on the deck and enjoy just being there. We had no TV and we forgot to bring a DVD player so we perused all the weekend garage sales to find enough VHS movies to last the next week. Also, luckily it seems that everyone in Payson has a large supply of unused and unwanted frames for oil paintings...cheap!
Late in July we had Blaine, (the Hammer), and Cameron, (Chainsaw), come up on a Saturday to join with Colby, (the Wrecker), and Mike, (El Hefe'), to make the repair on our floor that was caused by our flood. The guys worked really hard all day long. None of them are used to heavy labor and we had some tired guys at the end of the day. I could have never completed in a month what they did in one day and this is my thank you note to each of you.
Grandma says for me to say for her to everyone, "I had a better time than anyone ever had at the Cabin". She loves that Cabin!
The pigs (Javalina) showed up again the last few days we were there. We had seven of them scarfing up birdseed from the ground under the bird feeders. My camera was dead......what a bummer.
We will be back in early Nov. to close it up for the winter. This time I will bring my brad nailer and complete the finish woodwork.
