Pine Valley

One of our favorite places to take the bus is Pine Valley. It is just 24 miles , almost due north of St George, on the north side of Pine Mountain. Quick and easy to get to and I can easily drive down to work my shifts at the Family History Center. Claire takes along her handiwork and I take my paints and we sit along the Santa Clara river and watch the pine trees grow. One thing I have learned in life......don't ever forget to stop once in a while and watch the pine trees grow.
We were there in early June this year for a couple of weeks. It's a Forrest campground so we can only stay 14 days but with the senior discount (I'm due to get next year) it only costs us $6.00 per night. Our favorite spot is very private and we look out our front window at a beautiful little waterfall.

There is a lot of wildlife around. Deer graze past our door, the Elk come by, the skunks visit; of course we have the local residents like ants, wasps, beetles, moths, and fishermen also through the area. We also have snakes!!!!!

Grandpa..the boys LOVED the snake! We had to blow the picture up to see it, but were very impressed with it's "wickedness"!
