I love to paint and already in 2007 I have completed 24 paintings ranging from 24"x 36" to 8"x 10". This one was the most fun however. While in the studio (some call it my garage) painting I looked up and saw a small square kleenex box sitting on a shelf. It had this graphic on it! So.....this is my version of a Kleenex box!
It hangs in our kitchen.
"Grapes and Peaches", Oil, 12"x15".

I'm trying to learn a new technique called glazing so I'm experimenting on a small canvas with a simple painting. This really turned out to be much more appealing than I expected.
"African Tree", Oil, 8"x10". You will se it in our guest bath when you visit.

We were out doing garage sales and found an old beat up print in a great frame. That old print was the basis for this painting. We find almost all our frames out there in someone's junk. I take the frames home and rebuild them........ do you have any idea what fancy blank wood moulding costs per foot?????
"Old Barn with Pond", Oil, 16" x 20"

This painting is from a photo of a Tobacco drying barn deep in Kentucky. We got a lot of great photos when we were there last fall. I think this is my best artistic effort to date. It will hang in the Cabin starting next summer.

Grandpa...I am so amazed at your artistic ability! I think your version of the Kleenex box is much better than the original. My favorite however is the last one you posted...the trees are amazing! Wow!
